“Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there.”
Bo Jackson

If you have a goal you should stick to it even if you don’t think you will reach it because you might end up surprised that you did. I think some people often leave their goals as dreams and don’t even reach them but if you are determined and motivated you should keep going and I also think that if you are not determined nor motivated you should motivate yourself and keep pushing yourself till you have reached that goal. Reaching your goals make you feel better at the end knowing you did it and didn't even give up. So now I am motivated to go through with my goals and not stop till I have reached them and when I’m done with those set of goals I will make new ones and it would be easier to do it because I have done it before.

“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.”
Michael Phelps
22 Olympic medals (18 Gold)

I think this is a good quote to reflect back on because it keeps you determined to keep doing what you want to do. I know when I read it I think back to when I first wanted to play piano because I saw a friend of mine playing I couldn't help but think how beautiful it sounds and how graceful his fingers run across the keys. I knew then I wanted to play piano. I would dream of playing some of Beethoven sonnets and I wanted to learn many other songs. I now can play two songs and still determined to keep going. I don’t want to limit myself to learning only those two songs I want to keep being able to play more. I believe if people have a strong passion for something then they should keep going even if you think you are already 100% at something you should continue going to get 120% better.

“Try a little harder to be a little better.”
Gordon B. Hinckley

By trying harder and harder you can be better at something. I remember when I first started drawing I couldn't even draw stick figures that well but by trying and trying I’m getting better. I’m still not the best artist there but it is something I enjoy and if I keep trying harder than my skills of drawings can get better. Or with basketball I had to practice to get my shots better and have more control over the ball. If people don’t keep trying you might not get better at something so instead of you saying you can’t you should try it and see if it works. Everything comes with practice and if you try you can get better at something.

“If you want to achieve excellence, you can get there today. As of this second, quit doing less-than excellent work.”
Thomas J Watson

I think this speaks out a lot as a student. If we want to get good grades and accomplish graduating high school we should do better. As a middle school kid I didn't really think much of school and I wouldn't do much of the work. I reflect back at it and saw how it affected my life because I didn't get to graduate with all my friends or walk the stage or have my mom proud. It was really sad to see. As I got to high school I decided to leave all that behind me and decided to do well in school so I can graduate and set a better example for my younger brother because he too didn't graduate middle school. Had I done well in middle school and graduated my brother might have followed my footsteps and done the same. Now I hope he can do good and graduate high school. All it takes is to do well in school and ask for help if you need it. Do better work than you did yesterday.

“It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.”
Paul Bear Bryant

To me this speaks out a lot. People always want to win especially in sports but just saying you are going to win won’t make a difference. In order to win you should practice and practice and be determine to win. Some teams like to slack off just because it’s practice but really but giving it your all in practice you are preparing yourself for the game and you’ll know what to do and make it better. I often heard girls at practice saying why they should try hard but by trying hard  you will succeed. Or if you want to A’s a test if you don’t study how do you expect to A’s it? By studying you will do good and be more confident about it.

Paul Bear Bryant
Paul William Bryant was born on September 11, 1913 and died on January 26, 1983. He played college football and later became a coach for the University of Alabama football team. “Righteous community unity starts with ONE upright soul, whether it is a community of family members, students, neighbors, teammates, or business associates. Unity conquers worthy pursuits more quickly and with less effort than individual effort alone.”
Mr. Haymore

One person is all it takes to have a huge impact on others whether it is a good one or a bad one. People might not realize by their actions it can reflect towards others and by doing what is right others will follow. The video showed a man playing his instruments and then little by little more people started following and it shows how by one man it impact many others to go along and play and create a beautiful orchestra for people to enjoy. He didn't know it but he made a difference by just playing .

Together Everyone Achieves More
ANON

I think that when people work as a team it can open possibilities of new ways to achieve what it is they want to achieve. For example if a girl from basketball wants to quit the team it wouldn’t be the same as when we had her with us so by the team telling her and encouraging her to stay so we can achieve our goal of winning and she wouldn’t quit that could be an achievement. Little ways like this can be a great example just like a group project in school everyone has to work on something if one doesn’t it won't get as good of a grade but together you can get an A.
·         Teamwork
·         Adults working together
·         A steep hill
·         Blue sky
·         Working together can be an advantage
·         People reaching their goals
·         If a person needs help there are people to help them
·         It might be hard to reach the top but by working together you can achieve it
·         Adults

·         We can do it.

“Your mind is a garden your thoughts are the seeds… You can grow flowers, or you can grow weeds…”
ANON
Well if your thoughts are a seed then you can either have flowers which will be the good vibes or you can have weeds which will be the bad vibes. Your mind is a garden so it can be either good or bad. I think an example of this would be if you have bad thoughts like you just want to quit school or do drugs that would be that your thoughts are like weeds which means you have bad thoughts.
What’s on your mind?

I really just want this day to go by quicker so I can go home and take a nap before basketball practice. I’m also regretting taking a nap at 6 pm last night because I couldn’t sleep till around 2 am and now I am super tired and I just want to go home.

“The essential thing is not knowledge, but character.”

“A definite worthy goal, combined with a positive mental attitude (PMA), is the starting point of all worthwhile achievement.”
Napoleon Hill

If you have a positive attitude to reaching your goals, you will find that you can achieve them by just staying positive and keeping an open mind about it. For example I set a goal for myself to graduate high school because I didn't get to walk the stage in middle school. This being my last year I am a senior and almost to the point in reaching my goal by being open minded and positive that I will achieve and pursue my goal.

“We become what we think about.”
Earl Nightingale

I think it depends on the person’s perspective. I mean it can only apply to those who are determined and motivated to act on what they think about instead of just thinking about it and not acting upon it. For example many people have a new year’s resolution that they want to lose weight but I know for a fact only have of those who act upon it go through with the resolution while others just give up. But those who are motivated to act on what they think about they can become successful because they always go through with what it is they are thinking about.

“Good thoughts bear good fruit. Bad thoughts bear bad fruit.”
James Allen

I think this quote also reflects to your future families. If you are good and you continue to do what is right throughout your life it will create a huge impact on your families. Your children will know right from wrong. I also think that by having good thoughts you can achieve things you think you couldn’t do. But if you have bad thoughts you might just end up in a wrong direction and you might not be able to achieve what you thought you could when you had good thoughts.

“I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.”
Dean Smith

I really like what Dean Smith is saying. He is a humble and a great man. Many people should strive to be more like him because he was doing what he believes is right. He isn't like many other coaches and he shows gratitude towards his players and his fans.  I think that I as a person forget about people I care about but not Dean Smith he remembers everyone and would always have the same love and care for them.

“CTR connects you to happiness and success. CTW disconnects you.”
Mr. Haymore

Choosing the right really does connect you to happiness and success. I know when you choose the right you have more opportunities for things like better jobs or being a success in high school. I remember one time I was out with a friend and we were sitting outside. We saw this elderly man walking with a huge gallon of water and he looked very tired. I didn't see him my friend did and he said let’s go help him. I was confused as to what he was talking about. I looked and I told him to go he explained he doesn't want to scare the man because of his style so I went with him and we walked him home. He did the right thing.

I love to be aware of what’s going on in today’s environment but I don’t think I would want to specialize in environmental health. It would be more as a volunteer work if anything because we do need to take care of today’s planet. It is in fact interesting but it’s not for me in my perspective.

I wouldn’t mind being an EMT. I get to see some action and once I drop of the patient to the hospital it is no longer in my hands. I’m also afraid of performing surgeries so I wouldn’t like to see things get cut open so being an EMT I still get to help safe people’s lives but I wouldn’t have to face my fear of cutting or seeing someone get cut open.
