Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Licensed practical nurses work with and under the direction of RN’s or registered nurses and physicians. They help those who are injured handicapped, and sick patients. They take temperatures, blood pressures, and pulses. They also give injections, change dressings on the patients, and help give baths as well. Licensed practical nurses could tend to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and extended care facilities. Some can work in private homes.
Average Salary: $16,000 - $23,000
Educational Requirements:
It is encouraged to have a high school diploma or GED even if it’s not always required. Licensed practical nurses do not get the some education as for a registered nurses, their education is a bit higher than the LPNs. Training programs approved by the state are hospitals vocational schools, junior colleges and private schools.

I wouldn’t like to be an LPN because it doesn’t interest me and if I want to be a nurse I’d be a registered nurse.
