Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical Illustrators are highly skilled artists. They work only in medical field and create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. They drawings can go from microorganisms to body parts.
Some medical illustrators make illustrations that will help research about or creation artificial parts. Sometimes they will be called because of their modeling skills so that they can create body parts such as ears, and noses, for patients that are deformed or have undergone some surgeries.
Average Salary: $35,000 - $50,000
Educational Requirements:
Students who would like to be medical illustrators should take college ready classes in high school that emphasizes art and science together.
In college students should either major in art or minor in science or vice versa. Undergraduate science courses should be the same as those required for medical school.

In order to get a certificate as a medical illustrator it requires a graduate degree in medical illustration, a portfolio review, and a successful completion of a national examination.

I'm not sure about this career it sounds interesting to me but I would have to practice more on my drawings.
