“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”
David A. Bednar

I think what this quote says a lot in such a small sentence. Being obedient helps in so many ways that we might not even notice how important being obedient really is. If you are obedient you won’t get into trouble so you won’t be upset or mad when you get in trouble and you won’t feel angry towards anyone. Being obedient to your teachers will make your life easier. You won’t get in trouble and you pass the class if you are obedient. Same goes to being obedient to your parents if you listen to them you will have a better relationship with them and won’t have tension if you are disobedient and then you guys end up fighting and there’s tension. It’s better to just be obedient.
So far I feel like I'm doing okay on my 100+ goals. Most of them have to do with a later time so that's why I can't really accomplish them at the moment but soon I will. I think I would have to start writing more goals that have to do with my life at the moment. Graduating high school is almost complete on Saturday so I'm excited for that. I really hope I get to do my 100+ goals because it also seems like a bucket list to me. What I need to do better is following through with my goals. I hope that even after I graduate I get to read my goals and also share with my family so maybe they can start on their 100+ goals.
1. What did you like best about this class?
What I liked best about this class was getting to learn how to do new things on the computer I didn't know before and free time.

2. What did you dislike about this class?
There's not much I disliked about this class.

3. What can you recommend to improve the class?
I guess I would have to say try more things I didn't get to learn.

4. What will you always remember about this class?
Well I'll always remember the quote of the day.

“Obedience is the great test of life.”
Thomas S. Monson

I think what this quote means is that it isn’t always easy being obedient sometimes there is this urge to disobey someone even if you don’t mean to. For example I remember once my mom told me to pick up the empty water bottles around the house and put them in a plastic bag. At the time I was watching a show and I said I’ll do it right now. My mom comes to the living room 2 hours later and she still found water bottles all over the house. She comes in my room and she had a long talk with me. I didn’t mean to disobey her but sometimes it just happens. I learned to do what I am told when I am told.

“Obedience… is the primary object of all sound education.”
Elizabeth Missing Sewell

I’m not too sure about what the quote really means. Maybe it’s because I haven’t done it myself. But I do know the obedience is the key to a great and happy life. If you are obedient to your teachers and parents good things will come from it. Being obedient in school is important because that is where you are most of the time and you learn how to be a better student and it gives you a head start in life. If you are obedient to your teachers by doing your assignments and homework it’s just like a job when your manager or boss tells you to do something you do it. Little things like this is what we should learn at a young age.

“Obedience sums up our entire duty.”
Hosea Ballou

I think this is true because if we are obedient we are able to listen to what other people have to say whether it’s your parents, adults, boss, etc. we need to be obedient in order to become good people. I know that sometimes here and there I’m not obedient but each step of the way I’m trying to be more and more obedient to adults, teachers, and especially my mom.

“The more obedient we are the more freedom we have.”
Boyd K. Packer

When I read this quote the first thing that came into mind was jail. The reason why is because if you are disobedient and don’t follow the laws you can go to jail. For example if you use illegal drugs you can end up in jail. So when I thought of being obedient and how it gives you freedom I thought about how if you obey the law do good you are free, free from jail and you get to live your life happily with friends and family. Not obeying the law will just get you in trouble or in jail and you are no longer able to live a happy life with your friends and family, you are just stuck in a cell with people who you don’t know. So that’s why it’s just best to be obedient.
Obedience

Obedience is when you are doing good deeds. Listening to your parents, teachers, adults, etc. An example of being obedient is when your parents tell you to do the chores you are supposed to do and not fighting back that you don’t want to and it’s not fair. Another way of being obedient is when your teacher tells you that you have to do an assignment instead of nagging that you don’t want to its best if you just do it. Some synonyms of obedience is duty, conformity, submission, and deference.

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”
Benjamin Franklin

I need to start sleeping early. I have a bad habit of falling asleep late at night and sometimes rushing to school so that I can be on time. Getting to bed early is what I should do because I need rest especially if you work out and early bed is needed.  If you go to bed early you wake up in time and don’t have to be rushing or being late so that makes you wealthy regardless if it’s school or a job. And going to bed early is wise because the next morning you will wake up with energy and not wake up in a bad mood. Sleeping early is important and it’s something I should start getting the habit of doing.

“A wise man ought to realize that health is his most valuable possession.”

Hippocrates
I agree with this quote because if we live an unhealthy life we start to limit our lifespan for example let’s say we eat nothing but junk food every single day and don’t exercise or try to start eating better it can damage our body like clog the arteries or it might give you diabetes and it can even cause a heart attack. By eating healthy, staying fit, and exercising we can live longer and we can do things like travel, learn new things, build up a career and a family, and watch your grandchildren grow. This is why we should stay healthy.

Courage

Courage is when you are afraid of something but still chose to face it. It’s like being brave. If you see someone getting bullied and you know the person who is being the bully the courage to stand up to him is hard but if you do it you are brave because even though you know him and talk to him he can end up trying to hurt you because you stopped it but sometimes courage is standing up to your own friends even if they don’t agree with you. That’s something brave that other people won’t do because they don’t want to be a “bad” friend.
“Act well your part; there all honor lies.”
Alexander Pope

I’m not entirely sure what this quote means but I know that if you are good, then good things will come to you. For example let’s say you seen an elderly woman or man carrying some heavy bags, you should help them because you would want someone to do it to your mom or dad, or even grandparents. They would be so grateful and you would have made their day if you did that act of kindness.
Orthodontist

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
Sophocles

If you win by cheating and receive the “honor” you really didn't earn it you won’t feel the same honor as you could have if you won the fair way. Take sports for example if you cheat or you know you did something that was against the rules and end up winning your team won’t receive the same honor it could have if you or your teammates have not cheated. If you play fair and you didn't cheat and followed all your rules your team will receive the correct honor it deserves. I agree with this quote it’s better to fail with honor than to win by cheating.

“Attitude is the mind’s paintbrush. It can color any situation.”
Anonymous

I agree with this quote because your attitude is what makes every situation for example let’s say I go to a field trip and I’m not really looking forward to it. You have to make the best out of every situation even if you feel like you can’t. With a positive attitude you might make it worthwhile. Or if you go to a baseball game and you are not a fan of baseball but a really good friend wants to go with you, instead of having a bad attitude that will cause you to not have a good time, instead you can make the best out of the situation and have fun. Who knows maybe you’ll even end up liking it.
Attitude

Attitude can be ones perspective or outlook. It can be someone’s perspective about life and what they think of it. Some people don’t value life they take almost every moment for granted. To live a healthy life, be surrounded with people you love, make something in your life worthwhile, that’s my perspective of life others might disagree. Someone’s outlook in sports can be different than yours it’s just how you feel about it.  Someone might like baseball more than basketball and you might like basketball more than baseball that’s just your outlook. Attitude can also be the way you behave whether it’s good or bad. You might have a good attitude at school with all your friends around you but at home it can be another story. Having a bad attitude doesn’t make a good image for anyone they should all strive to have a positive attitude.

This is that the patient doesn’t get any infections that could be transferred because of the tools.
Average Salary: $102,000 - $192,000
Educational Requirements:

If you are interested in this career you have to be dedicated and perform your duties on time.  There is no explicit academic requirement for this field so you must show hard work and efficiency. Certification can only be done after completing a two year or four year degree.

I wouldn't like to become a periodontist because I don't want to deal with the gums and such.

Honor

When I was researching the word honor I found three words that stood out to me and they were glory, pride, and respect. Glory stood out to me because that is something that you get when you do something you’ve accomplished such as winning in a decathlon. It would be an honor to win those and the glory of winning will fill you with joy. Pride, pride is something you have when you’ve done something right or just being honored that you are who you are whether it’s tall, short, Hispanic, black, it really doesn’t matter if you have pride. And last respect, respect stood out because in order for you to feel honored you have to have respect. Like respecting a baseball game or any other sport you might play. By following the rules and being respectful towards the other team that’s when you will feel more honored when you win your games.
“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
A Proverb

I really like what this says because I remember I used to hang out with someone who always seemed to be getting herself in trouble and she seemed to manipulate everyone around her to do the same, including myself. I found myself getting in trouble more often when I hung out with her. After she and I had an argument and she didn’t talk to me. After that I started behaving better, my grades improved. I seen myself getting less in trouble and started helping the teachers out more. Now I hang out with friends who influence me to do good in school and I do as well as them.

This didn’t capture my attention so I wouldn’t like to become a dental technician.

“You can’t hire someone else to do your push-ups for you.”
Jim Rohn

I believe this quote means that you can’t hire someone to be successful for you or to fight your own battles or to even get you a job. You have to do it on your own even if it may seem hard at the moment. For example I couldn’t do push-ups before and I remember someone saying it might be hard now but it would be a warm up later. I never believed it can actually be a warm up for me until I kept exercising and I soon realize that what I heard was correct. I was in shock but if I would have hired someone to do it for me I would never be able to feel what I felt that day which was accomplish. If I would have hired someone to do it for me I would have never known what it felt like the first time I did it and I thought I wouldn’t ever be able to do it but since I did it an no one helped me I felt accomplished.

“Kindness is the essence of greatness.”
Joseph B. Wirthlin

I really enjoy this quote because it might be a small quote but that quote says a lot. I think people should always be kind no matter what the situation to be. If you are kind to others, others will want to be kind to you as well. I also think that if you do kind things for others such as a stranger,  the elderly, your family, basically anyone good things will come your way it might not happen at the moment but it will in the future. Also doing kind things for someone to get something in return is never the right thing to do you should do it because it makes you feel good inside not because you are expecting something from it.

“Visualization---Imagination: What you see is what you get”
Anon

I think what this means is that if you see yourself becoming a better person you can become a good person. For example let’s see you don’t see yourself as a good person then you start to believe you’re not a good person and so since you visualized that you’re not a good person that that was the outcome of it. I also think that if you visualize yourself graduating from high school then you start wanting it so you work hard so that you are able to walk the stage and graduate with all your friends and make your family proud it could end up happening.

“You will never be a winner if you lose your temper.”
Anon

I think what this is trying to say is having a bad attitude won’t get you anywhere. You would be a winner if you are doing the right thing and not letting anyone get to you even if you want to scream at the person the best thing to do is to keep quiet and control your temper. If you lose your temper nothing good will come from it and you will end up making things worse than they are at the moment. It’s just better to hold your tongue. I remember this one time I got so mad at someone and I lost my temper and they ended up not talking to me for a few days. If I would have just kept my mouth shut that wouldn’t have happened. So controlling your temper is an act of winning.

Cowardice asks the question ‘Is it safe?’
Expediency asks the question ‘Is it politic?’
Vanity asks the question ‘Is it popular?’
But, conscience asks the question, ‘Is it right?’
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one’s conscience tells one that it is right.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I think sometimes we often question ourselves on what we should do whether it’s making the right decision even if everyone else does not stand by you or to just give in because you don’t want to feel left out. I think we should always stand up for what’s right because at the end you won’t feel guilty that you didn’t choose the right and when you choose the right you won’t need to worry about the guilt because you choose what is right. We might not know it but our actions can affect others whether we know it or not.

“Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith let us to the end dare to do our duty as we understand it.”
Abraham Lincoln

I’m not entirely sure about with this quote by Abraham Lincoln is trying to say but if I could guess I think it might be that we should always choose the right and understand why we should choose the right. I also think that if we understand that choosing the right is the way to be then we will be good at being a son/daughter, citizen, friend, etc. I also believe that our duty should always be to choose the right because then good things will come by it even if it’s the littlest thing it makes a difference.

“Right is right only when entire.”
Victor Hugo

I think what this is trying to say is that you can’t be half right you are either right or wrong. It’s like saying a kid a half a cookie because he couldn’t eat a cookie before dinner. When the mom ask who ate the cookie he would say he only ate half the cookie thinking that because he ate half of the cookie he didn’t really eat the cookie before dinner. He would be wrong because he still ate the cookie even though he didn’t eat it all he was still wrong.

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed but that our power to do has increased.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think what this is trying to say is the thing we might find hard and difficult at first can become easier not because whatever it is you are doing became easier but because you been practicing and practices makes perfect. For example at first I wasn’t able to read music but I kept learning and practicing to read it and I got the hang of it not that it became easier it’s just I had practice on it. And the same goes for piano at first I couldn’t even play Marry had a little lamb on the piano but no I can play The Scientist by Coldplay on the piano I still have a lot to learn because I still want to play some of Beethoven Sonnets and to me that seems very difficult but with practice I know I will get the hang of it.
