Education Requirements:
The EMT-B has three components to be required. Didactic which includes 120 hours of hands-on skills training, the clinical/field ride along which includes a minimum of 24 hours observation and at least a minimum of 10 patient contacts and final testing will include 4 – 8 hours.

I wouldn’t mind being an EMT. I get to see some action and once I drop of the patient to the hospital it is no longer in my hands. I’m also afraid of performing surgeries so I wouldn’t like to see things get cut open so being an EMT I still get to help safe people’s lives but I wouldn’t have to face my fear of cutting or seeing someone get cut open.
