“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
Mother Teresa

Kind words really have an impact on people even if it’s small words. People will always remember the kind things you say to them. It’s nice knowing people care about you when they have something nice to say. I remember this one time I was really at my lowest my best friend had wrote me a letter and in that letter she said everything she liked about me when I was at my happiest moments. She didn't like that I was so upset because that made her upset and our happy moments just weren't the same. After that I was happy again and I always remembered what she wrote. Now whenever she’s upset I do the same thing for her and vice versa.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”
Charles Ketterer

I think this statement has a lot to say with the goals that we had made for ourselves. It is a good thing to have goals because the motivation and the determination to finish them and to do them is a good feeling. Once you know you’ve accomplished them having other goals is good to have too because you will always keep moving forward like that. Sometimes you think that you can’t do those goals because there may be obstacles holding you back but if you overcome them and determine to finish the feeling is great. Having goals can impact your life in ways you wouldn’t know but the thing about goals is once you start them you should always finish if you don’t finish then it just shows how you are just a quitter and won’t get anything done in life.

Nursing Home Administrators

Duties and Responsibilities:
Nursing home administrators plan operations of nursing homes and other care facilities. They also supervise medical, financial, and many other stuff.

This career really captures my interest. I would like to be a nursing home administrator and I think I should research further and check out some campus that has a good program and see how I would like it.

“Be cool in school---live every rule.”
Mr. Haymore

I’m not too sure about the meaning in this quote; however students should always follow rules in school. Following school rules will also help you in the future when you have to follow the law. Rules are set up to protect us and help us learn like the rule of being on time that will help us when we have jobs and we can’t be late. If you show up late to school all the time most likely you will show up late when you have a job. Also wearing uniform will help us because of the uniform students can learn to dress more modest and when you go to job interviews you will learn how to dress modest because if you don’t wear modest clothes most likely the manager won’t hire you. Or even if you have a job that requires uniform it will help you because you are so used to wearing uniform here that you can wear uniform were you work.
The school wide assembly was great because the teachers worked really hard to prepare it for us. I also enjoyed it because it just comes to show that all the staff here at HPIAM really care about the students and want us to do well in school. It was a good motivation to just watch the teachers because they see the things kids are doing and they want better for us. I also glad to be apart in the assembly recording and being in the tiny clips they showed. There was one clip that I did with a few other people and one of the guys dropped his paper and everybody around it just looked at him and decided not to help but one person out of all of us decided to help the person I think that was really great because you see it happen here at school and no one helps at times. It shows that we should be kind and help others because if that were you, you would like the help as well. I think we should also appreciate the teachers and their hard work that they put into us students because we often take them for granted and we shouldn't because they are really there for you to support you and help you in any way possible. I am grateful for the staff that we have in HPIAM they will always be my motivation to be good, follow rules, and succeed.

“Action is the foundational key to all success.”
Pablo Picasso

Action is a key to success because of your actions you can accomplish many things. My actions brought me here today I study, go to school, and do the work that needs to be done. If my actions were differently then I wouldn't be here in school I would be out in the streets and not caring about my grades or school. My goals that I have put into action are what are making me the person I am today. I am a step closer to prom, grad-night, and graduation with all my close friends and the teachers that helped me along the way. The actions I chose are the reasons for my success in high school. My actions will also follow me to college and will be with me after that. If I had chosen differently I wouldn't be a step closer nor will I be ready for college. So if you chose the right can of action then you will succeed in life.
I am doing my goals one step at a time. I think I’m doing pretty good on of my goals is to get straight A’s this semester and Graduate with all my friends in June. So far I am on the right path I have the grades to graduate and I am set to graduate that is of course if I don’t slack off. Since one of my goals is to get straight A’s I don’t think slacking off will be on my agenda. I also made a goal to start drawing more to get better at it lately I have and it is going well. I drew three lotus flowers yesterday and they were so pretty. My sketch book is a medium size so I think I’ll have to get another one. Those three are my main focus right now and I’m a step closer to accomplishing them. The thing I like about these goals is that when I’m done with them I will have new goals to accomplish. But for now I’ll just stick to the ones I need to get done with. And later I will try to reach more goals.
Pyramid Healing

Define Pyramid Healing: Pyramid healing is a concept that the shape of the pyramid allows for people to tap in the healing energy that surrounds every living thing. It can be used to sit there and meditate with herbs or scented candles. It’s good for depression, anxiety, tension, and even the common cold.
Aspects of Pyramid Healing: The pyramid is used for meditation and you sit inside it feeling a piece of calmness and a more positive attitude. By using the pyramid it will help reduce stress and tension that you have.

I would like to use the pyramid healing because it sounds so calm and relaxing and since I get lots of migraines it will help me heal them instead of taking a pill every 4-5 hours that don’t even help. I also like that it relieves you from stress. And you’ll be in a total stage of relaxation something I lack.

“Adversity causes some men to break –others to break records”
William A. Ward

I really like this quote because I know sometimes when I feel things are too hard and I’m never going to be as good as others I just quit without even trying. By doing this I don’t even know my true potential because I didn't keep at it and if I did who knows I could have been as good as I always wanted to be. By looking at this quote I feel inspired to be determined and when I feel about to give up I can just reflect back to this and know that  I don’t want to end up a quitter I want to do better and get better at whatever it is I am doing. If I don’t then that will reflect bad to me knowing I quit and knowing that if I kept at it I would have been the way I always wanted to be. I feel that everyone who is passionate for something whether it’s art, music, sports, etc. they should take a look at this quote and hopefully it would inspire them to keep going no matter how hard it seems to be at that moment.

“The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves.”
Anonymous

I believe this quote is true because if you try to outdo others you’re not really doing it for yourself you are doing it because you just want a challenge and prove something. I think that if you don’t try to outdo others and you try to outdo yourself you are benefiting yourself because you are trying to better yourself and you will learn from it and you would feel good about yourself knowing you outdid yourself and you can do new things to try to outdo yourself and experience something new. I think you can always learn new things about yourself that you didn't know before by this.

My three week vacation was great. I had spent Christmas Eve with the family and we went to the movies. Christmas day we cooked and ate lunch then we opened presents. Then the day after Christmas my mom and I went to decorate the floats for the Rose Parade we do this every year. I also went hiking with my friends it was lots of fun but I misplaced my running shoes so I was wearing Converse and that wasn't a good idea. New Year’s Eve we went to a dance in Downey and it was so much fun dancing with my mom. New Year’s Day we just stayed home. We had tried to go ice skating but it was sold out. On January 3rd it was my birthday so we had dinner with my family. On Saturday the day after my birthday I had carne asada with my friends and it was pretty fun. I went to the movies again and I watch The Legend of Hercules and it was pretty good. I also went to Six Flags and got the year pass to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor. When we got to Six Flags it was already 1:00pm and it closed at 6:00pm so we only had time for four rides but thank goodness we got the year pass so we can go again. That is pretty much it for my vacations.
“It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.”
Seneca

You will have many obstacles throughout your journey but in the end if you have the will to keep going then you will achieve what it is you are doing. In life there is always things that will try to prevent you to achieve greatness whether its family issues, work, drugs, etc. but if you achieve greatness it would overcome all the struggles you went through and it would have made it worthwhile. Nothing is ever smooth sailing there will be hard waves crashing down on you but when you reach greatness the bumps don’t even seem to matter because you know that you've made it and you will feel good about it.
