I think what this is trying to say is that you can’t be half right you are either right or wrong. It’s like saying a kid a half a cookie because he couldn’t eat a cookie before dinner. When the mom ask who ate the cookie he would say he only ate half the cookie thinking that because he ate half of the cookie he didn’t really eat the cookie before dinner. He would be wrong because he still ate the cookie even though he didn’t eat it all he was still wrong.
