Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical Illustrators are highly skilled artists. They work only in medical field and create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. They drawings can go from microorganisms to body parts.

Some medical illustrators make illustrations that will help research about or creation artificial parts. Sometimes they will be called because of their modeling skills so that they can create body parts such as ears, and noses, for patients that are deformed or have undergone some surgeries.

Average Salary: $35,000 - $50,000

Educational Requirements:

Students who would like to be medical illustrators should take college ready classes in high school that emphasizes art and science together.

In college students should either major in art or minor in science or vice versa. Undergraduate science courses should be the same as those required for medical school.

In order to get a certificate as a medical illustrator it requires a graduate degree in medical illustration, a portfolio review, and a successful completion of a national examination.

I'm not sure about this career it sounds interesting to me but I would have to practice more on my drawings. 

Dental Laboratory Technician

Dental laboratory technicians specialize in different areas of dental and orthodontic work. Their jobs usually include making and repairing dentures, crowns, and braces. They work in dental schools, commercial dental laboratories, hospitals, dental clinics, and for manufactures of dental prostheses. Dental laboratory technicians:

·         Choose and mount replacement teeth.

·         Identify needed prostheses repairs.

Anyone can motivate you to change their life; they can also have an impact. However, only I can really change my life. No one can make you do something. It’s true they can give you the push you need, but in the end it’s up to you to change. People who truly care about you usually try to impact you to change your life for the better. I think one person who was a huge impact in my life was my sister. My sister went downhill for a while but she came right back up on her feet. I was on a lonely rode and I felt as if I couldn’t get out of it. Then my sister helped me just by setting her examples and telling me what I should do. I changed for the better for myself. I didn’t enjoy the way I was living before. Now every time I feel like that again I think of her example and I choose to not stray that way anymore.

Biomedical Engineer

All biomedical engineers have at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Many have advanced graduate degrees as well. Courage

I think what many people today need courage. I have to learn how to have courage myself. Often at times I don’t have the courage to say no to people when I think I should. There was this one time I lend a friend my homework assignment. I thought I was helping her since she didn’t do her homework and later on I asked her for my assignment and she misplaced it. I was upset at the fact that I worked hard on that assignment and didn’t get credit on it like she did. Later on she finally found my homework but I didn’t get the full credit. Had I chosen to have the courage to say no to a friend I would have turned in the homework assignment on time and gotten the full credit. Now I learned to have more courage to say no to a friend. I no longer let anyone copy my assignment. Instead I just help the person out with the assignment.
