Radio Technologist
Duties
and Responsibilities:
Radio
technologist use x-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance scanners, positron
emission scanners, and other machines to help diagnose illnesses and injuries
and also to help treat them. They are also in charge to explain to the patient
what they will be doing and prepare them for it. They are to make sure the
equipment is properly maintained. They work in hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories,
nursing homes, and private industries.
Average Salary: $24,000 - $36,000
Educational
Requirements:
Those
who are interested in this career should take AP science, math, and English in
high school. You are also to complete a two year training program in a hospital
or school. You will need a high school diploma or GED in order to enter this
training.
I would like to become a radio technologist because I will
be able to work with pregnant women and take pictures of their baby.
