Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical assistants help
physicians and nurses with patient care. They schedule appointments for the
patients they also take blood pressure, temperatures, and perform other routine
patient pre- examining procedures. Sometimes they help with office task.
Medical assistants work in hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.
Average Salary: $17,000
- $18,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take higher
courses in school such as biology, physical science, office management, communications,
and human relations. Some medical assistant training programs may accept GED certificates.
Medical assistant programs for training can be offered by community colleges.
It may take between six months and two years to complete.
I’m not sure I would like to
be a medical assistant because it doesn’t really interest me as much as a RN
would. And it seems you don’t really do much so I want more of a hands on job
because I’ll get bored after a while.
